Got some Viking bags

Still not crazy about them, but about the best looking, quality ones I could find at a decent price:

Those look good on it. I'm going with those bags too. I have the same bags only with shock cutout , which I don't need now since I have the quick takeoffs now. I like the "extra" bag on the side.

That makes me happy every day! I do need to figure out what to use to clean the schmutz that's building up on the exhaust mounts.

Thanks, I dithered for weeks. I wish they had a little more room, but I think they're the best looking option I found, short of Corbin or Tsukayu.

Glad to see I have excellent taste in saddlebags as those are the ones I installed 6 months ago......the ones with the shock cutout.......but, I dislike the mounting system, does not allow for quick disconnect. Please tell me about your, "Quick takeoffs....".

I installed same bags but the ones with the shock cutouts at the forward end....... so they could be forward and not look like they are about to fall off the back.....still yours look good......just that I see the difference by comparison to mine. Seems to me you could still move yours forward because my shock cutouts do not make much difference to my eyes as far as ability to mount.....non-cutouts like your might still fit over your shocks at the front end.......? Also, just another thought, I mounted mine to follow the same angle line as my pipes........I'll post pictures if I can find them.

Another consideration that just occurred to me.....the passenger pegs will be compromised if you move your bags forward like I did.....meaning those pegs will need to be relocated with an adapter that moves them forward.....I replaced my pegs with Kuryakyn passenger floorboards but still required adapter kit to move mounts forward of bags.

I set mine to be as far forward as possible without rubbing shocks or blocking passenger pegs. Had a buddy hold them until I found an angle somewhere between level and following the angle of the pipes that didn't look too awful.

There are some hard leather style ones I've seen on big Yam-hammers that look like they would look good on a Rocket.
