GIPro ATRE Gearshift Indicator Questions

Without the GIPro even on the Roadster, I find myself always reaching for 6th.

I know what you are talking about not knowing the gear i know it happens to me (69 nearly 70). my tach helps that problem.
it seems that you wanted to know how the gitpro operates. i have never had one but from what i have read and know about the operation of the rocket i will try to explain. the gitpro intercepts the gps signal and sends the correct signal to the indicator and sends a 4th gear signal to the computer so as to open secondary's to 100 % and also do timing the same as 4th gear.

Will the one for a standard work with the touring? If so I have one in my garage I'll send you. its collecting dust.

The touring model uses the T01 for sure...I can't speak as to whether the standard uses the T01 or the T02. I have considered a tach, but then I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the de-restrict option if I want. With the model I am looking at you can choose to de-restrict or not. Maybe I should do a small digital tach as well? Hmmm

From what I have read, that sounds correct to me. It really doesn't change anything, but just fools the ECU.

I bought a nice Gipro Housing from a German company, not cheap but First class:

Yup...I found those online after I decided I was going to order the GIPro. I started looking for a nice way to mount it. A very sharp little mount, but I agree....not cheap. I think I can make it my own mount so it looks like it is part of the bike. I appreciate the link Ballyono...if it wasn't so expensive, I would be tempted to buy one as it looks perfect.

I have it for 4 years know and it keeps very nice.
Anxious to see how you make your own.
Good Luck.

I'll look and see what mine is. Like I said if you want it you can have it. I don't use it

You're one generous person kblahwtka. I'll hold off and see what you find out, but I can't believe you haven't used it. Any reason why you never put it on? In any event, I'll wait to hear from you. Thanks...Bedifferent
