Latest issue of Rapid Bike (Aus magazine) got a RIII belonging to a bloke called Damon from Sydney. He went out and bought himself a new Roadster $22,000AUD then sent it to Germany to have a Palatina RS carbon fibre body kit fitted to it. This kit costs $28,000AUD plus another $10,000AUD to ship it there and back.... and get this ... to finish off the 'project' Damon had to fly two Palatina staff to Sydney. Damon it claims has plans to have a Carpenter Stage 2 kit fitted in the future ... this could well be the worlds most expensive Rocket III.

Now thats what you call plumb crazy. If I were him I would just spring for the one kit as it will not pull the 240 hp with the Palatina Exhaust as it is to restrictive. I might make 200 horse. Either way it will still be pretty powerful and well I do like the looks of the Palatina body style. If i were him I would see if someone could build the same exhaust and fit 2 inch pipe thru then open the cans or make larger ones for it. But hey it is quite obvious he has money to piss away.

After spending all that cash he's got still standard headers and mufflers that come up under the seat.. K&N underseat , that's about it performance wise. Lushy be a far better option than shipping it to the States ... then again Geelong Carbon be a better option for the bodywork in my opinion

Yep just went back and checked Damon is a member. His photos are about 3 or 4 rows from the top.
