HELP!

As I decided to stuff around, I am left scratching my head. Bought the rivco risers, installed, pretty happy, got the ****s as couldn't get under my tank without having to remove my bars etc etc etc...

decided to flip the risers so gave me clearance. Had to invert gauge bracket which meant flipping gauges upside down...problem, cups were wrong way and need to be cut...sooo in my flipping wisdom thought ...oh well if i **** it up, i'll just replace the chrome buckets the gauges sit in and put it back to stock...

Well, decided there is a better way of doing it so want to flip gauges back but since of shopped it a tad too much i wanted new cups...AND........

Triumph don't sell them separate to gauges and want to charge $1200 for new gauges....now that sucks ****in dogs nuts.... Fair enough I was a **** wit for chopping mine, but what if you damage the cups...$1200???

Now does anyone know where I might find a set off somebody's they will sell for the price of 2 plastic cups not a new ****in bike!

Any ideas would be of great help.

I notice dakota gauges sell metal cups and I think with a bit of convincing they will house our dials but have to get some one to rig up the reset button on speedo.

Anyway, if you can point me in the right direction, id be really grateful.

Mate feel your pain ... i checked out one of the Nomads bikes while i was down in Newcastle recently , he had repaired it after a prang. He was using used spin-on oil filters for his guages cups , looked pretty neat i thought.

The triumph dealer here said they can order the cups SEPARATELY for $89.00 each.
I'd check with a different dealer FIRST and it you do order new ones,
I'll take your old ones off your hands.

I got one from NCY when I scatched one while fitting a set of the rivco risers I was about to order the earlier top bracket which "The Scot" obiviously has
Remove your bars?WTF I have the rivco risers installed and can raise my tank by flipping the gauges over.

Ponters by now I thought you would have realised that our our Aussie distributers are just trying to rip us, I have a policy I ring the dealer get price then check with Jason at NCY in the states and save a bundle, occasionaly the part is actually as cheap but not often even when you allow for shipping which Jason is always carefull to keep to a minimun
also if you don't want to buy the earlier top clamp (which I think the risers were orginanlly designed to be used with there is another option, The 90 degree chrome bracket that fixes to the tank can be made to be hinged if you are interested let me know and I will take a picture or two, it is still a squeese but you can lift your tank

i would assume you ozr's have guys that can weld.. you could make your own cups out of say 20 guage stainless tube ..
that is a pretty choice drag bike.. very cool on the guages now just picture something like that with all the "extra" rear framing cut out and re designed and a nice mono shock sitting there all fat and happy... in chick magnet blue of course

you know if you guys like black so much we have a pres who will be looking for a job soon
