They look like new with the exception of the feelers, they have just the rounded end flattened a bit.
The cost to ship your way is outrageous, just like the cable only ALOT more for the size and weight.
I thought you already had a set.
I like floorboards for comfort and the different foot positions they allow, heels resting up front for stretched out riding, feet planted firmly on the board for normal riding, toes resting on the rear for a more standard seating position. I use the rear floorboards when I want to ride standing up.
Its all about getting comfortable. Stretching out, and fixing anything that is annoying..........and also it makes farting easier.
I have a heated Corbin dual tour and one of the special pleasures of that is to chill out the arse in cold weather and then sit back down in the nice warm seat.
Of course, if you forget you have a passenger riding with you.....well lets just say they will not like you anymore.
Guess I'm a crusty old barge captain. When doing a 1000 plus miles over three days as regulary as possible, I can't imagine riding pegs. I am not 20 something anymore. Comfort, then speed. You guys go on up ahead, I'll catch up later. A commuter I ain't.
I went with boards over pegs as well....but I powdercoated them black...it's slimming that way .
Seriously, I changed because I wanted more options for foot position. I was not a fan of the controls so far forward.
See, I did this to move my feet back a bit...befriended my powdercoater and blacked nearly everuthing out...added free flowing pipes and new engine mapping...THEN Triumph came out with the Roadster! A blacked out, remapped R3 with the pegs moved back
being a rocket riding bike manic. I like riding with pegs when I play NYC dodge ball with Cabs everyday, but I love floor boards for long distance riding. What I don't like about the boards is having to crunch my ankles against them every time I stop. So I went aftermarket and found some "pegs" that are about 4" wide so I can put my foot ON something vs just a small peg, and they never get in my way in the big apple slalom...
Do you have a link for those 4" pegs? I have pegs on my '05 and I find that my big ol' feet tend to work like wings over 80 mph. When I move my foot to brake it tends to "take off." On the boards, did you have to do something different to the shifter?
