We are OK. Went out to check a friends business today. Had a long lull in the rain. It has come back but we are still dry. The rain event is worse than Ike.

We have had a sh*tload of rain here from that storm. It has been raining for days here and I have been watching the lake I live on rising. Lots of roads are flooded too. Luckily it has stopped and the Ark stays in the garage til the next time.

Thanks for thoughts and prayers. Very gracious offer from Clint, thank you very much. Good to hear you're ok Rick. We're all ok here. No water in house. Bikes survived. After I moved and raised the bikes I saw lots of my neighbors evacuating. Two houses from mine all the way far as I can see was flooded. Some reporting Six feet in their house. Four feet in my yard. I felt kinda sh.ty. All I was worried about was my motorcycles. So since I have high E350 I started giving them rides to higher ground. After I took one load, the engine started to miss and lose power. So I limped it back home. This morn the water has completely receded. I guess all that drainage work the city has done the last few years works. Except it seemed to cause some the initial flooding by draining other areas through ours, who knows? Raining again but we're good.
