where do i go from here, not very tech oriented but dont mind trying

Could be bad fuel....
Also try jump starting it off your car or a GOOD battery- bike battery might be struggling....

Hi Mate,
Please introduce yourself in the introduce yourself tab -

I had an identical issue last week, though my bike hadn't been sitting for the last 6 months. I tested my battery and it failed the load test - dead battery. Put a new battery in and it started straight away.
