Does this look a little different to you?

Look closer, the controls have all been moved forward 4".

This bike belongs to a coworker who is 6'6" tall and he wanted more room. Well, he got it.

A lot of cutting and welding and he was able to move the foot controls forward 4".

I can get more pics of what he did and ask him what he did but basically it was just a lot of cutting, etc. He had chrome rails so I swapped him my black ones so he wouldn't have to have them replated when he was done.

He also experimented making some risers. He made 2" risers out of round stainless stock. He has about 5 dollars into them in the white. I figure I will get a set from him and have then chrome plated. I should be into them for 30 dollars or so. They are round so they don't match perfectly, but who is really going to notice them behind the windshield. ;)

Wait a sec there, Amigo!
You speak of a R3T not a R3R.
It already had boards. Why the need to move them forward?

WAIT again!!!
Is this your "ALL LEGS" buddy with the 36" inseam?
If so, I be shocked his boards aren't moved forward of the crash bars!!!
 :p

If the crash bars were where they started they would be. He cut them and rotated them enough to go into the notch of the radiator shroud, rewelded them, smoothed them out and had them replated. If you don't know what you are looking at it is hard to even see what he has done.

Always good to see people doing their own thing.
I use the multi adjustable moving pegs kit from Raask which is great.
The homemade risers look as if there may be some flex at junction to top yoke (triple tree) with the increased leverage from higher bars.
Personally I would like to see a larger contact area there.

If the risers are made of stainless they can be buffed to look like chrome. Even less $$$

If I may ask what did the Raasks run you and how far forward from a stock R3R will the pegs go?
