Just used my first full tank since installing the TFI and tripples. Normally I get around 200km before the light comes on (250km up to 300km on a trip). This time it was just over 190km. I couldn't tell with the first tank because the odo reset when I disconnected the battery but I had a feeling it wasn't too much worse than previously.

When I filled up I'd used just under 17 litres and covered just over 201 km. A quick calculation tells me I'm getting just under 28 mpg (US gallons) or 34 mpg (imperial gallons) and I have been "trying it out" a fair bit. I even went for bit of a 2up ride yesterday (330lbs combined), albeit relatively gently. I don't think it's running lean, very smooth, easy to start, no decel popping at all, no hesitation and slight petrol smell when I blip it, Dobeck lights all doing what they're supposed to.

I think that's pretty good considering the way I've been riding it. Very very satisfied all round.

nothing to do with fuel management but just to say I landed in brisbane three hours ago and from -25 when leaving calgary to + 25 here I understand the reason for riding in australia ..can one of you aussie captain adopt me ..legally ..me and my R3..

Hey, good to have you over here. I'm pretty sure you can hire something to ride up there. Probably a Harley but still 2 wheels.

Did it finaly, did it soften the TOR's raspey note when you richened it up. The offer is still there by the way for the Tune that IDK (Ian)from the other site gave me it has great ignition map you would only need to richen it up with your dobeck, How's your lady liking the rides........on the bike
Cheers

Yes mate, and not too difficult either. From where I sit it certainly sounds deeper but that could just be the new noise from the tripples. Will be in touch when I can come down and you can see for yourself.

Lady liking the rides very much. ;)
