DAY MAKER HEADLIGHTS.

Heads-up - see this post - FREE Single Headlight Conversion for your Speed Triple - Page 2 - Triumph Forum: Triumph Rat Motorcycle Forums
Although the JWS 8630 'kinda fits' by removing the positioning ring, it appears that a new TRUE fitment is going to be available from JWS with a 8690 series
LED Motorcycle Headlights - Model 8690 M Series
New 8690
But perhaps more significantly the 8690 also has new design & performance features
- has quite a bit more light output, particularly on high beam over the 8630
High beam output up from 2925/1000 (raw/effective) to 3520/1600
Those about to buy, might consider holding off until this new one is released/available
For the Touring guys, you not only get the new design in 7", it also features adaptive lighting for cornering!!
New Adaptive LED Motorcycle Headlight at J.W. Speaker

WOW!
Just when you think you are set with the best . . . . :(

New and improved...new and the latest. After reading up on headlight options and considering pricing vs needing better than halogen lights I went with Truck lights and passing lamps. Planning on installing them in the next couple of days.....can't wait...:)

And the Adaptive is also available on the 5-3/4" now
You have to look carefully at the numbers:
8690M is non-adaptive but has new optics and is now plug n play replacement fitment into OEM shell - LED Motorcycle Headlights - Model 8690 M Series
8690A is the adaptive one - Adaptive LED Motorcycle Headlights - Model 8690 A Series
BIG difference in price - the 'M' can be had for ~ $375 (ea) while the 'A' is ~ $600 (ea)!!!!
(Lowest prices could find for each)

Ken,
I cannot find the 8690 A for sale anywhere.
Any ideas?
I have sent an email to Drag Specialties.

That was cheapest I found - i don't believe they are actually released until later in month
Do you actually have 8690M 'Bull or is it the 8630 you have?

Neither. Some time after the 8630s came out Speaker designed a supposedly improved "Daymaker" only for HD marketing. There were also the 8630 Evolution that came out after the Daymakers.
Thus the recent new models are 8690 with the M & A versions. I be thinking seriously of biting the bullet for a pair so I can test and do a comprehensive comparison.

JUST READ:
The 8690s are reportedly NOT compatible with Triumph Rocket III.
