Daam nice, Rev!
Not a fairing man, but yours looks sweet!
Perhaps when I grow up and require more comfort . . .

I know there have been quit a few threads on the different light options - I cant pay $700 for 2 headlamps.
found these on Ebay for $89.99 ea - Chrome 5.75 5 3/4 Motorcycle Projector LED Light Bulb Headlight For Harley Day
Made by Genssi. I looked at company website & seem like a good company. for $179.98, what the hell right?

In the LED shots I also have them aimed lower which I may need to adjust after riding in dark tonite??

outside at nite (before I lowered them), they are brighter on dim than originals on bright.... by far!!!!
For the price - I LIKE EM!
I know they don't compare to the JW Speakers in performance, but they also don't compare in performance to the originals - Knowwhati'msayin?

If I had not already dropped $640.00 on the daymakers I would be checking it out. I am having a hard time excepting the fact that I pissed away that much money on just headlights.

I got the knock off replica of this one:

5 3/4" DAYMAKER Replacement Chrome Projector HID LED Light Bulb Headlight Motorcycle Harley 5.75"
Are those JW speaker brand?

  • 1350LM for Low beam
  • 1770LM for high beam (This is Effective Luminous Flux or actual usable light, not the 3000+ Raw lumens that the JW Speakers advertise) so I'm not sure how much actual difference there would be in the actual usable light. for the price difference, I would think there would be some though.
  • 20/40 Watt

That is the same listed specs for the Genssi's that I got which say they are designed in US/made in China
Also I forgot to mention that the originals have 3 notches to fit the inner alignment ring. these had 4 and in different locations so I had to slot out with a dremmel 3 other notches and the light has a larger outside diameter so I spent quit a bit of time with an air grinder making the I.D. of the alignment ring larger. Whew

Anyway, I guess time will tell if the cheapo's I got will last..... but they are bright as ****!
I got the confidence to try these after seeing the post @ozrider put up on the ones from Ali Express - I just didn't want to order from China.... too long of a wait.
So, just more alternatives....... For us Po-boys

Not sure if they are HD branded or not but significantly cheaper than what I paid through HD dealer

It's a lovely looking mod but don't really ride much in the dark - purely for pleasure, so can't really be arsed couple with the cost etc.

Taking your pix from different distance locations kinda defeats the comparison purpose, no? :D
