Hanso, are you running Sam's headers with your new collection system? That sensor makes it look stock? Gotta agree, I do like the asymmetrical 3 muffler look on the bike, and changing to 3 into one would be a vastly different look.

yeah Sam was surprised that I wanted to have the O2 senor lug but I was already toying with running a wideband sensor and hoping that they would make the PCV +Auto Tune available for earlier models then I just a little while ago find out they do work with them I have it and love It, Sams headers are precision fit on the head even the local guy who did the mod commented on how good Sam's workmanship was, she now goes like a scalded Cat with a skyrocket up her arse

I know the backpressure is important.. wouldn't a set of baffles fix that issue?? I was looking at these flexible baffles to maybe keep them from being TOO loud, and to not lose the backpressure.. New Flexible Exhaust Baffles at Cyril Huze Post or the Big City Thunder Thundermonster Baffles..
What say you folks?

Also, I have read somewhere that a slight increase in pipe size might add a much better flow to the exhaust and add some power to the bike. What size is the stock exhaust @ the header and what would be good to move up to?

Do Powerbraidz have a website ?
These could solve my excessive TORs noise problem

So I am getting my Triple K&N's soon, moving the overflow bottle, got a TuneECU cable in the mail today, and the Eastern Beaver Headlight mod w/ Cutoff Switch..

I have the TORS, and I know removing the cat-box adds a lot more volume/tone to them. However, looking at the cost of the Cat-delete and the fact that I want something custom-looking, I have been speaking to a local fabricator about having some custom pipes made for my '07 Classic Tour.

I am looking at something similar to one of the following three designs...

What do you guys think? I was thinking that the first two would look GNARLY with 3-3 turned-down pipes, and sound just nasty and mean. The third one is neat, but would sitll be a normal 3-1..

I plan to remove my bags for a while (factory install left ALL of the interior screws stripped so I have to cut them off to get the bags off), and maybe build a custom set of metal hard-bags when my new welder gets here, so bag clearance isn't an issue. Pipes will probably all be wrapped..

i had a customized bike with pipes like those and it was louder than god.
im not into that so i took them off.
they looked cool, but not for me. i dont like them really loud.

Looks interesting, however you'll probably need to fit heat shield to at least 2 of the three free flowing pipes,

I believe that the 3 into 1 configuration has been shown to be the most efficient for producing power and, so far, this exhaust system has been proven to be the best of that design: Carpenter Race Engines - Triumph Rocket III

Somebody, somewhere, sometime might be able to improve on the Carpenter design and results, but I would wager not by very much at all.

Jury is still out on mine. Let you know when complete. Been somewhat ill-mannered of late. The pipes will be going on soon. The TORs are off.

Like the look of that last option a lot! VERY cool:cool:

Getting rid of the stock headers, cat bypass, TORs loses lots of weight and mass robs hp. The Carps are but a small fraction of the stock/TOR heft so you should gain some quickness right up front. I slapped the Carps on about an hour ago and they really do look choice:D Will need to fashion some form of spacer for my NOS as the pipes displace more than an inch of additional lateral space from the head. Gotta friggin' admit though, it's gonna look wicked!
