Custom Exhaust Ideas

this something like what Skip wants, I can't remember where I found this picture and I don't know who owns it but I reckon you have to talk to him on the left side because his right ear is probally deaf

They are almost identical to the ones the bloke I know had . looked cool but he took them back off because they made the bike guttless . Not enough back presure

someone somewhere is about 1-2weeks away from having the best 3 into 1 making best power by far, best sound as is tuneable and hand crafted. i can't wait to get mine. the results so far are better than the best so far but this guy is extreme and wants better so is making final perfections.

will let you know what i experience real soon.

So what year PCV do I buy to fit to my R3 07?

Just order for 09 and you will be sweet, when you go to down load the maps there is only four there one is a zero map I have been play with it set my AFR's where I want power I would put a 12.5 and where I want economy I put 13.75, so as you ride just take notice where your throttle position is in reference to the revs the you will have an idea as to where to put what but if you really want the best results take it to a dyno tune guy and he can set it up for you after that the Auto Tune will look after it giving hou accurate fueling all the time. I found that roadster tune was OK but not spectacular to start with in then went in and changed it a bit to spice it up a bit.
When I get more time I plan go up to Canberra and put it on the dyno again and see how close I have got it

I know the backpressure is important.. wouldn't a set of baffles fix that issue?? I was looking at these flexible baffles to maybe keep them from being TOO loud, and to not lose the backpressure.. New Flexible Exhaust Baffles at Cyril Huze Post or the Big City Thunder Thundermonster Baffles..
What say you folks?

Also, I have read somewhere that a slight increase in pipe size might add a much better flow to the exhaust and add some power to the bike. What size is the stock exhaust @ the header and what would be good to move up to?

this is exactly what i want!

Those baffles sound like they would be awesome but 10 to 15 db reduction would still be bloody loud, all the same a great Idea If I were going to do it I'd go the 1 3/4 pipe that is already fair bit larger than std.
I could be wrong but I think my header tubes on the Headers Sam made me are 1 5/8 or somewhere there abouts

I got a quote to get this done by a guy that does exhaust for a friend's bikes and does a great job, as soon as my tax return arrives, I am getting it done!!
