supposedly if both tanks are filled properly and the hose has coolant in it too it will suck and push coolant back and forth as needed.....far as I know...

Hey, even I'm capable of learning something once in a while.....
After I posted that I was out in the yard and I was servicing one of the tractors and I looked at the coolant overflow bottle on it and lo and behold, it's mounted on the frame that the charge air cooler is mounted to. A foot below the radiator top.
I came across this trany overflow can. The rocket overflow can be quite small .
If you notice amount of coolant difference (hot to cold) in stock overflow its only about 8 oz difference.
