The trike is fun, some cornering you have to behave different and slow down considerable amount, others just gun it, most of the time I keep up with 2 wheels no problems.

I like to do as much as I can myself, was looking at getting a spare head and having it fettled and then changing it over the wetter months, along with modding by adding a reverse.

I can't see any way you could add a reverse.

With enough money and time, right ? Wouldn't you have a small transmission that would be behind the engine that would be solely for the reverse, and then have a shorter drive shaft ?

And who knows, maybe it was an option for his trike the original owner didn't choose, and just a matter of taking it back to them ?

Just thinking out loud, the bigger the machine, the more important the reverse. I know the big BMW has reverse, I could be wrong but thought I saw a Goldwing one time with reverse.

No kiss. A small spacer between diff flange and prop with ring gear on it, that's fine and bolt a starter motor on it. Simple and cost effective.

It weighs half a ton, only a issue when you are Parked on a hill, which we have many.

@STRIPES did the trike kit for MB, and it has a reverse. Not sure how it's set up, but like @Pablouk said, it's powered by a starter motor.
