I did mine a yr. or two ago, used a piece of rubber hose probably one to one and a half inch. Made it about two inches long, cut it long ways and kept cutting the rubber until it would wrap around the coil and complete unit would slide in the hole without flopping around. If needed, hopefully I can find extra hose for sizing.

Have you got picture of this for references to see what you did visually ?.
Also if you can as you said get the size of the hose ? I'd like to seal the holes off properly making it more seal tight and stable.

I don't know how to transfer a picture, hose is- 1 & 1/4 inch bulk hose, 7/8 inside with approx. 3/16 wall thickness. Cut pieces off hose 3/4 in. long and then cut these pieces in half long ways; this makes two of the six needed pieces. I found this to be satisfactory, if you wanted it to be tighter make your cut a little wider than in half. One piece makes it solid in hole and doesn't trap all the heat around the coil. Sorry, these are U.S. dimensions.
