an hour and a half is not an unreasonable time at all. I doubt most people could do it any quicker. If you think you can do that job under that time , start the clock and walk up to the bike and do it and time yourself. While your doing it make sure you don't scratch the guys bike or spill his fuel out, leave the pump assembly seal leak under the tank etc etc. AND make sure the fuel gauge float is not bent on reassembly...........

@Neville Lush: misunderstanding full saying is that; hes so slow it takes him an hour and half to watch sixty minutes,or if you have 30 minutes you can watch him make minute rice sorry for the confusion

I was referring to the gent who said "Filters are about $5-$20 at your local parts store, or $55 at your Triumph store. You should be able to do it in less than an hour. It is easier with a (nearly) empty tank than with a full one." JDK. I think it is a big call to say one can do this job in less than an hour. Maybe I am slow, like Mexican .

Carpenter must have bent my fuel rod when they did my bike, it only goes to 3/4 ever since I picked it up.

Here's the thing you get three Triumph mechanics you have three Triumph Rocket 3s with three fuel filters sitting on the seats then you say to the three mechanics the first one to replace the fuel filter gets $1,000,000. Do you honestly think it will take them an hour and a half to replace it?...

Are you sure Ken, I thought they would get OH&S involved. Seeing it is involving a flammable substance. Create a SOP(standard operating procedure ), a SWMS (Safe work method statement ), cordon the area off, then proceed with the repair, get halfway through and realize they didn't have the correct filter, order the correct one. ....Two weeks later install it. After the 3rd week you phone them angrily wanting to know when the hell your bike will be ready. They reply with "We did try to call you but we must have had the wrong number " You go to pay and it costs a lot more than verbally mentioned as there were complications. .....Next time you get one yourself and install it.
