I know you gain HP with the cat bypass and TOR exaust combo. I'm wondering if it's a noticable gain.

I plan on upgrading from stock this year. Just need some money and some warm weather. Wisconsin winters are brutal!

I run that combo and there is a very noticeable difference.. :) You will also need to get the right tune of course, either from your dealer, or by using a PC-III or Tunboy.

I can appreciate loud; particularly when the back seat driver in hollering directions.:D I run stock classic bologna muffs and a cat box replacer. This alone lead me to realize the potential of the beast. I still enjoy the bologna silencers. Along with the altitude gain from a Tuneboy.

Just spoke to the mechanic today about ordering the parts. His shop is equipped to load the proper tune. I'm almost as excited as when I bought the rocket. The only change I ever wante dto make is louder exaust. When I ride with friends, I can only hear the "whir" of the transmission. One friend has a VTX1800 with a PC and very loud pipes. He would tease that my rocket sounded electricly driven. Of course I could always shut him up with a 30mph roll on.

Where did you notice the gains (high/low end)?

Tors Pipes and Cat Eliminator

Definite power increase and sounds better with this setup. Also you get a significant
weight savings with tors/cat-elim.

Have Tors Pipes and Cat Elim for sale. listed in the Classified section. Clean,
only 3.5k miles, 2007 Rocket.

Reduced price for both $500, I pay shipping.

No Cat with tor`s

Hi . I have a 07 classic . I pulled the cat at 600 miles and installed TOR`S along with a k & n under the seat .I took the bike to my dealer and had it dialed in. I had to have it retuned twice to gid ride of the deceleration pop.It now sounds like a bike and not swiming pool pump.when it is all said and done . O M G. on top of the major torque and horsepower gains I also picked up about 4mpg. One of my riding buddies has a boss hoss smallblock 385 hp and I can stick to him like glue.I am an old f@#t but I ride this bad boy like I stole it !!

It's probably peak 15-20 hp. However the stock tune for the TOR/cat bypass limits peak torque at around 2700 rpm by about 12 ft lb just by closing the secondaries in gears 1-3. You can regain this power by using Tuneboy to open the secondaries 100% in all gears. You can also have Triumph install the tune for the stock exhaust and then install a PCIII and have it custom dyno tuned. As noted, putting individual filters on the throttle bodies can also get you more power.

It's better to have the tune for stock exhaust and add PCIII, than to have the tune for the tors+by-pass and add PCIII, is that correct?

Triple K&N's

The mechanic at my dealership told me that he could program any tune I wanted and that I would have no need to buy a tuneboy or PC. Is that ligit? I want to be able to remove the secondary resriction. I also like the idea of the triple K&N's but I don't like having to modify the bearclaw. Do you really have to do that?

Also if I use the stock tune for the TOR/cat bypass and still have the secondary restriction, will I still be able to really feel a power increase? I'm buying the TOR/ cat bypass to make it sound better so power increase is just a welcome bonus.
