Has anyone taken their bike to Carpenter Racing in NJ for performance upgrade kits ,240 hp etc,I currently have ,Jardines, triple k/ns ,secondaries removed ,tune/dyno,my set up runs strong but I want more,I thought of the tts supercharger set up???Kind of weighing my options before I sink alot of money into it???Any opinions guys???thanks!!!!:D

There's quite a bit of discussion over at the .com site. There's a couple of really strong Carpenter supporters who come across badly, but I haven't heard any reliable complaints about their product.

There are some strongly worded opinions about some of the posts by a few individuals on the .com site. Don't let the vitriol and bad-mouthing prevent you from finding out the information. In the end it's all opinion until you put the money down and get the product to test for yourself. Bewteen turbo and supercharger (about the same costs) the supercharger has more advantages. The Carpenter setup doesn't use either, just puts your motor into the sweet spot of high performance engines (instead of the tractor engine delivered from the factory). You'll get something on the order of 11 to 1 compression (vice the stock 8 to 1 (or there-abouts)), high lift long duration cams, ported and enlarged heads with multi-angle valve seats, stronger valve springs, etc. Basically turning the power loose from 2300 cc's without the factory political correctness.

Bottom line, your money, spend it how you like.

What is this ".com" site you all talk about? What's the link?

On another note, I spoke directly with the owner of Carpenter Racing by phone. The guy was not rude, but WAY over protective about the specs on his cams, Etc. I understand he has money into R&D, but to basically tell a customer if you are not ready to buy right now, I'm not giving out any specs on my components is bad business. You can call any of the big time Harley racing engine builders and they will talk motors and specs all day long with you.

Carpenter turned me off with his secretive attitude. I won't buy someone's product if they won't talk about it! What's he hiding? His methods of gaining HP are not new. We in the industry have been doing the same things since hot rodding cars started! I called the company here in California that grinds his cams. I can have cams ground for less than Carpenter charges. And I know what the specs will be when I order the cams. Same with pistons. I can have custom pistons made for less than carpenter charges. It's no big secrete Mr. Carpenter!
