I have read many posts and I cannot find the non-chinese version of the cable for the Roadster. I want to open the secondarys and try a few tunes now that I have the K&Ns on. Where do I get the cable??

Thanks

Can you just open the secondarys? How easy is it to do that? It has been three weeks now since I ordered my cable.....I got an e-mail back from the guy saying it was being shipped from china.....I could have got it off flea bay cheaper and waited, at least flea-bay tells you it being ordered fron china.

there is a link in the TuneECU thread and I think there may even be a link in the Tom Hamburg site as well

yes you can connect save your Original Triumph tune out of the ECU then go in to the secondary table change them all to 100% save that under a different name and upload it to your bikes ECU remember to follow ALL the step including reseting the Adaptives in other words read the downloadable user guide

You can also just physically remove them from the top of the throttle bodies with no other changes. If you choose this route be cautious to not drop the screw. There is a thread on here with pics.

Cable

HI Motolink, i'm interested in the cable i live on the Goldie and would be interested in picking it up soon. Mine failed today during transfer, resuilt dead bike.

Paul, I am just behind the Hyperdome at Logan, the cable it at work in Woolloongabba, I can bring it home anytime, how is the best way for you to collect, I would ride down but i dont expect good weather for a few days.
PM me.

cable

Hi Motolink,
I'll come up as soon as, i used Tune ecu for the first time today.I was able to get a conection first time, looked at the functions all seemed well I down loaded my bikes Map thankfully. I than tried to upload a map and the concetion failed.
I think the program wipes the ecu prior to re installing the new map. I think my cable failed between the wiping and the re maping.
I currently can't get a conection between Labtop and bike. The bike won't Initiate, the clocks go round but the fuel pump wont prime, the nutral light is out and the started motor will not turn over
Not feeling great currently. I am hopping its just the cable and I will be able to reload my origional map with a good cable.
Any help would be appreciated, the fueses are all good and in place.
I have tried to recontact several times but to no avail.
My e mail is paul@goblinds.com.au
if you can e mail me a number i'll give you a ring and arrange to pick it up.
Thanks Paul.

cable

Thanks To Motolink, back up and running. It took a couple of goes but we got it working. I must have a duff cable. Feel much relieved. Thanks to Greetz for your help however we did not need the 20 amp light fuse in to re map only to start the bike. I had removed the 5 amp fuse for the running lights also and I think this may have made a difference however when we tried to connect with my cable the bike went down again.
My recommendation would be to ensure you get a good cable some seem to be suspect. If you can, get one someone else has used or have it on standby. Mine will read the test data and the other stuff but messes up when I try to download a map, removing the existing map and rendering the bike dead.
Thanks again to Motolink for coming out on Australia day and getting the bike started
