I bought a Fire7.
You need to do a bit of jail breaking to get Google Play Store on the device.
Install a file management app and a file decompression app
I have installed TuneECU and it seems to function properly. Can load, alter and save maps
TuneECU recognizes and properly identifies the LoneLec cable when it is attached to the tablet
But I have not connected it to the motorcycle yet. But it sure looks promising
No I actually never got a reply but did some reading and it like you say with some witchcraft should work. Keep me updated on how it works for you.

Connected the Fire7 up to Edsel this mornin. Was able to read and save the map.
Looks like the Kindle Fire is a go :thumbsup:

Success! I copied the original map downloaded from Edsel, made a few changes, lowered the fan temp setting to 96, opened the secondaries to 100% in 3,4, and 5. Bla Bla Bla. And saved the map.
Just installed the new map to the ECU using the Kindle Fire. I’m stoked
