Hi all.
Just after a bit of advise please. Can the tune ecu cable be connected with a USB extension cable ,as the rocket won't fit through the front door to go next to the desk top computer!
Many thanks

Within reason - long cables will cause voltage drop. The nominal max length is 5 meters (16 or so feet) for USB2. USB3 is shorter (as it's a faster connection, it's less robust.) You can get a repeater cable (that picks up the signal, amplifies it and passes it along) to go longer.

Here's a monoprice 32 foot active cable option:
You could also get a cheap Android tablet and an OTG cable for it; OTG stands for "on the go", ie a way to make Android devices able to act as a host for USB, which will make it possible to use your TuneECU cable with Android; TuneECU is available on the Play Store for something like $10.

Thanks for the info.
My new Android phone does not work with the tune software according to Google play it is unsupported, what ever that means?
Before I splash out on a laptop I wanted to see if I have the necessary skills to use the tune ecu.
Thanks again

You could get in touch with the TuneECU guys and ask about the incompatibility, I guess. It could be down to hardware or software versions, not sure.

You can go to News and there's a link to a demo version. It's an .apk file, so you need to download it on your phone browser, and then go into settings to allow installing from non-Play Store sources (under the security settings). So called "sideloading" is generally less safe than getting things from the Play Store, so ymmv.

My android kindle doesn't work either because it isn't true android. You need an android based tablet. A windows 7 or xp laptop with a Lonelec (uk based) cable will work. As for the laptop, you have to install the cable drivers and eventually you will get it. Meanwhile, you can download the program to a windows desktop for free and play around with it to see how it works.

u might try putting the bike out side the window

better yet bring the bike inside

he said that it would not go through the door. i never tried my door i thought it might be a problem riding it up the stairs not to mention the stairs might not hold 800 pounds. if i tried a might wind up on a dumb video
