Glad you got home okay. I suspect an ABS problem, but make sure you let us know what it was.

I agree, it's got to be an ABS problem. Even if you somehow had water in your brake line, I don't think the caliper would have corroded so quickly that it stuck, especially while riding.

Glad your all OK Jim,
It would be nice to know what the dealer says about this and a lot of us have the ABS....

I just went out and checked it and it rolls free as can be now,
I'll have it trailered to the dealer on tues, let's see what they have to say

Something to do with getting hot? Locks up when it gets hot then frees up as it cools down. I'd pull the pads and have a look. Can't do any harm.

Mate did it lock as pressure was applied and failed to release ? Or did it lock on with you applying the brake ?

SucH a young bike feeling rumatism, that's no good. Must be the antibiotics they keep putting in the chickens. OK, all silliness aside, i am glad you brought it to a stop without crashing and hope it is a simple fix. Very curious as to what the issue is too.

Well she finally left me stranded
Was on my way home from a call in at work, suddenly it felt like I was riding through quick sand, I thought it was a flat at first but both tires are fine, maybe my brakes locked up?
Anyway sitting here on the worst corner possible awaiting a tow truck

That is not the shadow of a Railway Cap I see is it ,

I suppose you can't rule out the ABS but could someone please explain how an ABS malfunction could cause the brake to lock on. Frankly I can't see how it could cause that but open to suggestions. I'd be more inclined to suspect a sticking piston could have left pads pressing against the disc, leading to excessive heat and expansion.

Really gl;ad it didn't turn nasty Jim. Be careful.
