Maybe I just got a bad one, or I just drove it a little harder since I've gotten more used to the bike. You cant beat the price, especially if you do all the changing work yourself.

I'm on a standard though also not a touring

My issue with Bridgestone remembering a few years back, their car tires killed a bunch of people and they tried (successfully) to hide the defects for some time. A tire goes on abike, it is not so forgiving.

Don't blame the tire for a car designer defect. If it were the tire, how come it only blew on the right rear, and the car manufacturer ran the tires under spec at 28psi? Then, the replacement tires by Cooper Tire did the same. Bridgestones are great tires. Only thing better on cars are Michelins.

Wasn't it a Bridgestone that Triumph originally had on the touring and recalled them all? Is this a different model tire than that one? I do not know the original Bridgestone they put on the touring.

Remember my post about being lost? My tire is a Bridgestone Excedra G702. Not the Max. Only got 5500 out of it. My apologies for the confusion.

I know the rider and his style makes a difference, but about how many miles out of the Bridgestone Excedra Max on rear?

I see you have a Classic, DaddyRabbit. Won't talk miles because as you note, everyone rides differently, but on my Standard (ie 240/55x16) I got about 50% more out of Avon over Metz and about 100% more out of Bridgestone over Metz.

On the Touring I can't comment.
