This is getting rave reviews in the UK - seems just about capable of anything - pretty much does everything you need, barring on the wheels.
Personally, I met another rocket owner in London at a bike shop, he had a 3 year old Rocket 3, and was onto his second pair of wheels within the warranty period - this is after riding through two winters in the UK - which are very salty and corrosive..
Clearly the wheels are a weak spot. Until we all get carbon fibre wheels or some decent aluminium alloy wheels (forged Marchesini anyone?!?!?!?) then I agree that we should all wax (whatever you like, just coat the **** wheels!) bare aluminium on the Rocket 3. Its not the highest grade of aluminium sadly.. you can have stuff which is twice as light AND twice as strong, but its probably 4 times as expensive (like with everything..)
Theres a lot of hype about ACF-50 - so if its good enough for USN planes (exposed to salty sea spray and knuckledragger abuse) then its tough enough for us is the theory anyways..
