The older I get the bigger the bikes look... A while back I had a huge and heavy bike but thought nothing of it - just got on and rode it. Now the Rocket starts to look big and heavy... Old age is not for sissies... Included my biggest, baddest and heaviest bike I owned (But it had a reverse gear!!) Makes the Rocket look like a lad...
Yeah I had a Gen 1 Rocket III and it got to be too much for my old knees. That started me down a parade of lighter (and more nimble) bikes. But there was nothing any of them could do to satisfy my torque addiction so I ended up with a Gen 2 Rocket. That said my Speed Triple RS will toast my Rocket on a track: 437 lbs and 150 RWHP
@OldBiker72 that is some machine, for sure.
Not for weaklings and average bikers.
I've had my Rocket for a few years as my only ride and it has been feeling less bulky and heavy, the more i've ridden it, but just recently i've been climbing aboard some much lighter and more compact machines and when I climb back on the Rocket it feels big and heavy again.....for a while.
It's amazing how you can adjust to these big differences in a fairly short time frame, but at first it seems very significant.
I could, however, imagine that the Boss Hoss would take a bit longer to settle into,
