so I know that bike tires loose more air than cars, fronts especially, but my front tire looses about 10psi a night after having been mounted. Is this normal? I lost about 5 psi during a 300 mile ride, can't be normal. Take it in to get remounted? Normal for Avon Cobras?

Make a soapy mixture up ,air the tire up and spray around the stem ,beads and then the rest of the tire if necessary.L osing that much air it should be easy to find where the air is escaping from.

Definitely an air leak somewhere. Maybe your tire bead is not 100% set? You can look up the bead lock pressure and try to set better.

Since your bike is an 05 you may find some corrosion in the bead area. If thats the case and it is too pitted to clean up you and always apply some bead sealer. Worked well on my old Venture with some minor corrosion on the rims bead area.

I agree with 1bigDog, mines a 2013 and I had quite a bit of corrosion and gunk built up around the outer edge of the bead area.

if he did not know what he was doing he may have tore up the bead.

Stating the bleeding obvious, but it could actually have a puncture. Even a brand new tyre can pick up a nail.

got a new set and went home got out of the car and was admiring the new tires especially the one with the 6 inch nail in the side wall:(
