Anyone run a 200 rear tire?

That tire looks like it has nearly as much curvature as a Metz. Do you notice any counter steer at all? I may try that one in a 225 next time on the Standard. I really like the way it looks.

Rode the dragon last year and it was just as good if not better than any motorcycle tire, it stops a hell of lot better and in water there is no comparison. No oversteer really. The ONLY time I notice it is when coming up to a stop light and there is low spots in the lane.

I run an Avon Cobra on the front.

30 plus years of riding called it experience, something you would rather read written by writers paid for by special interest advertiser. The is NO cycle tire manufacturer that makes a true rear tire for this motorcycle.

You are indeed entitled to your opinion even if it is a "single bullet theory".
However, that is all it is without any scientific data offered as proof to back it up.
I have over 60 years riding experience at the sport and professional levels and my opinion is you are incorrect in this instance. Hundreds of auto, motorcycle and respective tire engineers are not likely ALL wrong.

You further state here that, "The is NO cycle tire manufacturer that makes a true rear tire for this motorcycle." Do you honestly believe this? Do you actually think a car tire manufacturer knows or cares what tire is best for a motorcycle? Why do users of car tires fiddle so much with tire pressures? Are there no car tire pressures recommended by car tire manufacturers for motorcycle use? Why the continual search for the car tire shaped most "like" a motorcycle tire? There are hints in these questions.

I have absolutely no issues with those that wish to use a car tire on the rear of a motorcycle in order to save money; but, you should refrain from making false and unsupported claims that car tires are equal or better than the tires designed for a motorcycle as it is patently false.

I bought one of the first ones and this bike had already blistered the OEMs before the recall was issued and I was on my second rear tire before getting the free Metz. Engineers write what they get paid to write. I have no issue with those that are too scared to try something they are unfamiliar with but they should refrain from making statements they can't back up if they have never used one.

Key words, Elvis = Some tires of a single brand were recalled! Not exactly an indictment on the entire motorcycle tire industry! Do you really believe all engineers of all motor brands and of all tire brands write what they are paid to write when they are hired by manufacturers to design things that won't get them sued?!?!??? You are stupid to think I haven't ridden a car tire, #1 and #2 even crazier to determine (once again without ANY data or information regarding my riding) that I would be afraid! Last of all I believe I can back up what I say in MANY ways.

Ride whatever the fek you want, Elvis, but don't try to convince anybody with an objective mind that 99+% of the motorcycling world , i.e., those that utilize purpose built and designed motorcycle tires, are wrong and Elvis is right. Simple physics will prove you wrong, empirically, in virtually each and every case. Period, end 'o story!
