2011 triumph rocket roadster
Hi everyone just wanted to write a quick post about my cross country tour on my 2011 R3R. My friend and I spent 16 days under the sun. 300-500 miles daily. Hit Sturgis, the black hills, Mount Rushmore. We got as far west as western Wyoming down through Yellowstone, the grand Teton’s, then further south through Denver, then Nebraska. Started back east through Kansas then Missouri, through Illinois then Indiana. I felt more at home east of the Mississippi but was instantly missing the beauty and excellent roads of the mid west.
I was surprised how good I felt after crushing 6,600miles. My setup was a Corbin seat, I got Chandeliermans Tbars. Bought the highway pegs that are for a gold wing. I put on a windshield for this ride which really helped. One saddlebag. A Vuzmoto duffle bag. A Corbin tankbag. It all worked out great.
I didn’t see one other rocket till we got back into NY. I pulled up to Badlands Harley in SouthDakota. Parked the triumph amongst a sea of Harley’s. Think my bike was getting the most looks. One guy on a HD says ’finally something different.’ Lol. The best part of Sturgis for me was leaving Sturgis. The riding was so amazing that when we got into sturgis there was so much traffic. Never seen so many trikes and rental RV’s in my life! And trailers. Lots of bike trailers. Great people watching. It was cool to check out Sturgis but the highlight was all the amazing riding along the way.

That's a great trip with lots of good roads. Wyoming into Yellowstone is still one of my favorites.
Ya I think we hit 15 states. Wyoming was my favorite. The landscape just kept changing and getting more and more amazing as we went across the state. The scenery was like being in a postcard.

Man that picture of your face and sun looks like the triumph Instagram I get, bad arse picture dude

Thanks, think that’s the first time I took a selfie while riding the bike. But when the road is wide open and the scenery is gorgeous it’s hard not too.
If anyone wants to check out more pics of my cross country tour on the rocket feel free to check out my Instagram. Same name
