Is the guy holding the rope on the other side wearing a railway beanie? just checking!

Hey! I missed that third drongo up the hill wearing the RR beanie!
Good eye there cusso! Don't think I'd ever volunteer for that catcher's job these days.

Bruce, I have nothing to show or talk about that even comes close to your riding memories. I just love to see all that stuff. Thinking back you were probably part of the crowd I would have avoided. More fool me. I was riding motorbikes, but I wasn't riding. You lucky bastard.
Your right people did avoid us. I never did and still don't understand why. We partied pretty hard and rode big bikes hard usually in a large group. But have a look at us we were skinny kids. I was about 65kilos wringing wet, and I know I allways had respect for other people and there prossesions as did and do my mates. We might have been a bit loud but that would be about it. I do recall one year pulling in to our camp at Bathurst there was a bloke with his girl with a tent pitched near the fence of the caretakers house. We just pulled in all around them and made ourselves at home. A few of us introduced ourselves and had a yarn. They still packed up and moved I told them there was no need to do that and he told me they were moving over the back as they had found some friends camped over there. I don't think he was telling me the truth.

One for you Malcy a mate Mango rode this tripple from Brisbane to Bathurst and back in 1983 or 84. Kept up with a lot of faster better handling bikes. Note he's travelling light wet weather gear and nothing else for 8 to 10 days away.
This was taken on the river at Moree on the way home.

They have the back door open but no one seems to worried. That may be how they managed to arrest 10 of us. Obviously snuck up on us when we weren't looking.

Btw, you guys should all take the time to scan in the old red-tinged photos at high detail levels now, they're deteriorating. But if they're just red-tinted now they can easily be digitally corrected to have good color again. The physical images will keep getting worse though, but not the digital scans.

Gota get me one of those scanners .. got a ton of old photos. Cool looking at them as it reminds me of what were really good times. Makes you wonder what life would have been like had we not been able to gallivant around on bikes .. pretty ***cing boring I reckon.
