255 Horsepower R3


Hey Rick, so your bike is up and running now? I sent uo a message a week ago on from the tech site to see how it was going. Figured you might be out on the road working!!! Don't be a stranger. And your right Peter is really up on the Supercharger stuff, plus more.

I just ordered another pulley to increase the boost on mine

Oh and Les, once you get a few miles with all the power you will be thrashing it like me!!!!
 
I am pretty certain this is a 13.5-1 pistons and 260 lift megacycle cams in this bike resulting in the greater hp and torque shown over the earlier graphs.

 
Got to say having over 250hp is one thing but the 274 torque at 4500 - 6500 rpm is what i love....best part is it is smoother and easier to ride than a standard when not cracking it.

Are you happy with your torque and smoothness? It's a fantastic feeling when its trying to launch into orbit. Enjoy!
 
If you are just into drag racing and ripping around the neighborhood, thats great, but I'd like to know how these engines are holding up after 25,000 miles on them, can the bottom end and driveshafts handle all that power?? Are you gonna run Z rated tires??
Would like to do all that to a second bike that I could have a blast with!!!
 
Seeing that dyno graph is better than any **** ever thought of being. I've got serious wood just looking at it. That's insane. I would both love and hate a bike like that at the same time. Love to demonstrate that power on a regular basis, but would hate to pay a lawyer to get me out of jail, get my license back, and see my bike sold at the police auction.
 



18,000 miles on Tors, Then TTS kit 240+ for 31,000 miles, Then at 49,000 miles I added the Carpenter stage 1 plus other internal goodies.

59,300+ miles on her now with more the 9000 at over the 240 horse. I still have the original differential and drive shaft working just fine. Only difference is unlike others that refuse to follow sound advice, I grease my splines every tire change at the minimum. If the wheel comes off early the splines get greasesd anyway.
3 years sense I bought a extra differential and drive shaft just in case. But have never had to use them yet
No they are not for sale
 
I've got a spare diff and drive shaft that is for sale if any of you motorheads destroy yours agree that torque is where the grin factor originates from. Been riding Ponters 250 bhp Neville Lush built Roadster , it's as smooth and rideable as a stock RIII. Neville told me that blokes have put 70,000klms on engines he's built .... riding them hard too.
 


I am a bit confused ..just a tad mind you

did neville built ponters bike from scratch or was it with carpenter parts? cause I am considering parting with money for upgrade and look for the best bang for the buck>

No dude its all Neville Lush Components and workmanship. Oh and someone Nev knows did the pipe.
 

Ponters is that 274 NM or ftlbs?
Just curious as 274 nm = 202 ftlbs
Which both are pretty good for mild torque
I on the other hand like to rip the pavement out from under the bike except when in flight! Then I just hold on a wait for the bike to hit the asphault. Broke two sets of fog light brackets already. It would seem they do not hold up to excessive power and speed.
