2015 R3T and Tuneecu

Anyone know for sure if the 2015 ecu's are locked or not? One of our new members (big head) is dying to wake up his trike but we sure don't want to mess anything up. As an aside, I actually got to see the trike last Sunday. It's pretty freaking awesome and really really big!

Thanks a lot Bill!! Yeah I would love to derestrict my trike. I would appreciate it if anyone could chime in on if the 2015 ecu comes locked from the factory or not

The TuneECU web site has dates for compatibility. For the Rocket, it is 2014. You should probably wait until you hear from someone who's done it on a 2015 or contact tech support:

There is a TuneECU thread at the rat.net site, Tom Hamburg always updates list of tamperproof bikes, I haven't seen a Rocket listed yet. Your dealer should know for sure.

My personal gut feeling is that there's no way they changed the entire ECU out between 2014 and 15, I don't think this bike is a hotbed of change or development in any way after a decade of production... hell, even the R3 X is a normal R3R with flashy paint. So I'd just hook it up and go, but then again... you never know.

I sent Alain a message earlier this week but have not heard back as of yet.('course there is always a chance that I might have fat fingered something and he never got it) I know G.L. @BigHead is spinning around in circles wanting to load Wayne's tune in the trike but we aren't going to take a chance of hosing something up. I would like to see the results myself actually. With all that traction in the back do you reckon she'll clear the ground with the front? If we get the go ahead to lock and load I will have to borrow my brothers GoPro.

There is something different in the ecu maybe just code otherwise the 2015 ecu's would not need a different high rpm tune boy map. They have however made available a low rpm 7000 map.
