2013 R3 Roadster Review

I don't know where you live, but a new Roadster here in the States is $15,000.00
So getting one at that price with only 400 miles seems pretty good, try to get them to throw in the first oil Change that Triumph recommends at 600 miles and you'll be golden..

Ponters,
Do you have the Wilbers model 640-1032-00ts or the 642-1032-00ts (with the canisters)?

Do you know if the 642 will fit the Roadster with saddlebags on? Thanks in advance.

Swell write up there, carlsonp.
IMHO you be on the money regarding the suspension deficits, especially the rear shockies. Either of your choices would be good.
I have run the Hagon Nitros and now have the Progressive 444. Both are excellent.
Once you improve the rear, your performance will improve to the point the front springs will beg for help.
I have done several long rides, one was 11,500 miles criss-cross country and found the seat acceptable.
I agree with others regarding the Excedra Max rear tire. I have found that reducing to a 140/75R17 Avon Cobra on the front increases the rake slightly and further improves handling in the twisties. I DO NOT recommend a 130 in front - don't ask how I know this!

I have personally greased several Vrods with ease and if/when you go trip K&Ns, open up the exhaust and throw in a good tune you shall find the same.
Without getting too carlsonp (long winded) I shall now exit stage left,

Yep I know has anyone been caught yet?
Not me

don't wheelie the rocket, but brought back an amusing memory from a long time ago: i was 16 and had a honda cb360t, a buddy of mine had a xt500... we were always being nutty, and took off from a light one evening - me at 9500rpm, him on one wheel... flashing red lights ensue... my buddy was dead nuts for an exhibition writeup, so as cop#2 was starting to get the pad out for me i started the "yes officer, i know you may have thought you saw me maybe doing something, but can you really say that you were paying me sufficient attention to truly asses my activity when my bud was doing such a great wheelie? You know you were watching him a whole lot more than you were watching little ole me... I certainly may have taken advantage of the amazing acceleration of my 360cc monster bike here, but i certainly wasn't racing (since my buddy was just doing a wheelie, not racing me) and since we were just pulling into his apartment parking lot as we crossed the street i find it hard to believe that you could have clocked me for speeding (again since you were most likely watching that awesome wheelie my buddy was doing)..."...

cop was laughing by the end of my performance and didn't write me up... i had learned many years before that 1) never ventured, never gained 2) be nice to cops and sometimes you don't get the stick...

as far as shocks are concerned you may want to investigate wilbers kits
they sell front and back http://www.revsracing.co.uk/wilberswesax.php
