I had two sets of Metz's put on mine before they were right.I got the metz's on recall and had problems with my bike wobbling in the front end.....Major bad wobble to the point that I HATED the bike....Got the 2nd set of Metz's and no problems since.I now love my bike and especially in the twisties..:D

I think that Turnboy is getting all these tires will give him and I I know why he won't put on a car tire. I was going around a sharp left with my 245 GY on stock shocks with the left peg scraping and actually starting to pinch my foot. This was the only time that I ever felt my car tire skip a little. During this stupid human trick....Turnboy passed me on the inside. I think if he finds a tire that will live up to his abuse, we should all buy them.

I got the Metz with the recall at 10K. My front tire was still good but worn out. The set so far has lasted 3500 miles. The last two rears started going at about 4K. I will know pretty soon if these are up to spec.

Avon Cobras. Ive got about 5,000 miles on em with about half the tread left. Stock Bridgestones were badly cupped and causing bike to wobble at 3,000 miles.

That is what the recall was about. Got Triumph to replace front and rear for free at my 10K service. They had already done the rear once back around 5K. I am just hoping the Metz will last about as long as the Bridgestone front. It was just getting to the wear bars at 10. Of course I took my secondary butterflys out today and I am not sure how long that back tire is going to last. Man what a difference. Going to have to be really careful.

I had Dulops on a previous bike (Kawa Nomad). I didn't like them as they developed an instability going around a turn. I switched to Metzlers and stuck with them every since.

Since I got the Rocket III Touring, I've replaced front and back tires once. The back tire at 6,500mi and the rear at 9,300(should have been at 8,700).

I like to have fun in the corners, but apparently not as much fun as Turnboy! And when I pass on a two lane I prefer to get it over and done with as fast as I can to minimize my exposure to oncoming traffic. I suppose if you baby the tires you might get 10K out of a back and 15-18K from a front. But then I might as well have stayed with my 1500cc Nomad!

If you don't ride the bike to it's full potential once in a while, why lug around all that extra weight in the engine?

Okay, I jump on this one, because...sometimes it's got to be used to lug all that weight on the seat.:)
