What is the difference between thermostats T2100715 @ $55.59 and T2100891 @ $48.25, apart from $13.34? Different opening temperatures? Thank you

OK, apart from being vertically challenged, also mathematically challenged!
Reply from Hermys reference thermostats;
Thank you, you need T2100715. When I type your VIN into my system it just gives me the one that you need but according to Triumph it is cutoff with the engine numbers below. The engine number and VIN number are normally close.

T2100715 Thermostat $55.59 1 > Eng No 616640

1 T2100891 Thermostat $48.25 Eng No 616641 >

Im confused above leaving the prices out I am reading t2100715 thermostat on all numbers greater than engine no. 616640.

Now the second one says.
.
Thermostat t2100891 on engine no. 616640 and greater. So is it not saying both fit kind of like the higher part number supersedes the lower ? Just curious I have not run the numbers myself.

Last 6 of my 2007 Classic vin 312732 and told I need T2100715, so I presume engine #616641 and above use the cheaper T2100891.

Why the change? I guess something changed with the cooling system between the two engine numbers?
