2005 rocket high idle problem

My dealer took it apart cleaned it good .... back together and haven't had trouble with it since! about 3 years ago! 2006 classic!

That there is a good philosophy that took me about 30 expensive years to learn !

All the advice so far has been worthwhile and would get you back on the road, but if it were mine I would replace the tps and use TuneECU to do a full ISCV reset. The software is free and the cable to hook the bike to your laptop costs about $20. It is however worth mentioning that a loose vaccuum hose will cause erratic idle problems too. I spent a whole day figiring this out once. Now I check all hoses as a matter of course anytime I lift the tank

Welcome from the big city of Henryetta Oklahoma. Home to no. 74. The dealerships in Oklahoma suck. Untrained and just plain goofy. Oklahoma city dealership can not even change a back tire without screwing it up.

I believe this is a universal problem with dealerships; Its like poke and hope that you find a good one" that is why if one owns a triumph r3 i believe it is essential to fix basic things yourself and have knowledge about tuneecu or have a very deep wallet lol! "Be Safe"

If your '05 is a low miler it may well have the original TPS which had a high failure rate. The replacement part has blue guts.
