Now that pix of you three on the motor really reminds me of Mexico . . . No, WAIT!
They ride five or six up down there!
GOODONYA for riding the hundred large!!!

Cool, I have a ways to go but cathing up quickly at 28K miles on my 2014

Got me to thinking. I have a 2006 R3 std and a 2011 R3R. Both bought almost new. I have put well over 80K on both of them combined. No big mechanical issues other than second gear on the 06 that was repaired via upgrade kit under warranty. Now, if you start considering the money spent to make them go faster....that is a different issue.

Just wanted to post that my 2005 R3 has finally achieved 100,000 miles. I'm very pleased with the bike. It's still running 145 mph and I ride this beast hard everywhere I go. The engine is still strong and the only mechanical problem I've ever had was the output shaft bearings early on. These of course were replaced under warranty. I've gone thru 3 sets of clutch plates and a starter. I'm running straight open exhaust that I paid $9 for at the auto parts store. It improved torque and hp as tested on the dyno. I'm running the dark side since 54,000 miles and still haven't changed the rear tire, although it definitely needs one this week. 100,000 may not seem like a lot of riding in 10 years but I have had 5 other motorcycles in which I've ridden a total of about 90,000 combined during that time. It's not garaged at all and has say outside in very extreme weather. I have had numerous electrical issues which I've worked out over the years. I've laid it down twice on the ice and the insurance company totaled it once. All cosmetic. I don't see myself riding anything else unless Triumph makes a bigger bike

It's reassuring to know that an R3 has that kind of staying power--considering the forces it constantly must endure it is the toughest of motorcycles. Even more impressive is a man riding such a powder keg that far.
