Rocket 3 backfireing

So I took my exausht off and put a slip on exausht on and now it’s backfireing really bad I’ve downloaded tune ecu and have tried all of their tunes on the site and still haven’t been able to get it to stop backfireing any ideas?
 
I would surmise that what you have going on is decel pop on off throttle. The stock exhaust is engineered to muffle the pop so it's not annoying. To get a better picture of your issue can you state the model and year of your Rocket and what the tune currently loaded is?

I have a 2012 rocket 3 roadster and it has a tune off the tune ecu site on it
 
when you are decelling the exhaust will suck in air and mix with the gas and explode.
the bigger the exhaust diameter the more air it will pull in an the more the bang.
mine with tors bangs a bit at around 1500 rpm.
i tried a tune that banged all the time was fun for a day lol then i changed back, it also used to much gas and had less power.
if you are using a lot of gas your likely losing power.

What you have is decel pop and Turbo200R4 is correct in that the intake and exhaust valve overlap will ignite the unspent gas going down the exhaust pipe as well as a too lean condition with the higher flow silencers at less than 6% throttle. If memory serves the 2012 units also had secondary air injection which exacerbates the burning of fuel in the exhaust. Blanking off the SAI will reduce (not eliminate) the decel pop. When I asked about the TuneECU file you have loaded I was curious about the actual file number (like a 20355 from the custom maps page).

it’s just one off the tune ecu page it’s the last tune on the list of rocket 3 roadster tunes
