Hi all is anyone able to provide some advice i have tried to load a 20050 map onto my 2007 rocket and it failed to download. I went through the restore process as described on the tunecy site without success. Original map was 20222 any advice would be appreciated 👏

Found the solution, I needed the windows version as the Android version USB handshaking to the ECU has too much delay. In the Windows version you can go into your usb advanced port settings and set to 1ms. The recovery function then works correctly. On another note on the tunecu site for custom maps don't load the 20050 map onto vin's above VIN # 241123 (upto 2005). As I believe this is what the issue was as my vin is 324867 (2007).

Glad you got it sorted out. If you're loading a map, it's best to stay with the original map number in the ECU. You can find your ECU map number in the 'information' tab of TuneECU when connected to your bike. I tried installing a different map into my 2020 Bobber and that killed the bike, the starter wouldn't even engage. Reloaded the stock map and it fired right up.

I will definitely be more vigilant in the future. I have loaded many maps off tuneecu over the years and the general allocations of maps into the categories has been correct but unfortunately this one wasn't. So definitely a lesson learnt for me.
