Unrestricted Map 31248 all markets for Rocket 3GT/GT Black from VIN AV5457 ETV/F/Afr Tables modified 7400 Rev limit

I also have a 2020 R3 with a vandemon bi-model exhaust and vandemon stainless headers and a DNA air filter. I'm about to install a Penner unrestricted map and wondering if I will still need to get a dynotune as well to compensate for the the exhaust and air mods? As Penners maps are listed as standard exhaust.
Also not real sure which map to choose for Australia.
You need to copy the tables from a Penner map into the base map for the Australia market. I think you’re in the same market as Indonesia. If you connect using TuneECU, it will tell you what base map is in there. As for your less restricted intake and exhaust, regarding Penner’s tune for the stock bike and the possible need for retuning, yes there could be a need for retuning.

Easiest way is to connect your bike to Tune ECU. It will show the number of your stock map. Then look for the corresponding map at Tune ECU custom maps section. I am pretty sure I made one for Australian market.
As far as your exhaust is concerned you should do at least a dyno run and watch AFR closely. Good chance that it will be fine as exhausts don´t change that much on otherwise stock bikes and I have kept the map a little on the rich side to be safe. But as a lean mixture at WOT can do serious harm to your engine I highly recommend that test.

Just installed the 31248 map on my new to me 2022 gt. Picked it up a few days ago. Absolutely sensational bike...
I digress,.
I had to remap 3 times because I forgot to firstly increase rpm, then forgot to untick the 230kph limit, then didn't let it idle long enough after the remap and took it for a ride and it was 'buzzing' or running rough as guts.
Final reflashed with everything ticked, unticked and unrestricted, completed the 15 minute idle.
It's too wet now to go test ride but will have another ride tomorrow and see how she's feeling.

AI Claude chat tells me if it's still rough to reflash again but uncheck the o2 sensor the do all the things and it should clear up. I'm hoping I don't need too

Just load the free tune. When that is done, turn the ignition off for 10 seconds and you are ready to go.
No resets or other fancy stuff. Just ride.
(Okay, erasing the speed limiter is no issue.)

Your Rocket has learned quite a lot of useful data before that. Don´t do the 12min reset. It will erase a good part of that hard earned memory.
Don´t uncheck the O2 sensor. It just supresses the code for a faulty sensor, but the sensor is still working - unless you also disconnect it physically.
But that also takes the ability to do the 12min reset in case you need it.

Appreciate you taking the time to reply mate.
Clearly I'm over complicating it all.
My only previous experience with maps is loading canned maps with the power commander 5/6 and years ago on pc3.
Ill give the bike a squirt soon and see how she goes.

Hi Im new in flashing and i have a 2023 US (not California) Rocket R with werkes exhaust. I don't know what map i should use the us or the all other countries? Whats the difference @penneri compared them and don't know if i can ise the 31254 because of the gas here in us or why? Thank you so much for everything.

You should use a base map of 31254 if your vin is from AV5456 and it is a US R. Penner’s revisions of this base map is in Tuneecu.net, map_database, T Custom 3/4 cyl maps. These are zip files which you need to extract. The problem is that Penner’s unrestricted maps are for the stock exhaust. I believe others have used them with Werkes exhaust. Perhaps you could try BT-Moto for a better match.
