Rocket 3 clutch issues

So I have been having issues with the clutch on my 2005 rocket 3. I had the clutch lifter piece friction weld to the shaft and shear off. I suspect the clutch wasn't entirely disengaging. I have since replaced the lifter piece, lifter piece bearing, lifter shaft and pressure plate to upgrade that system to the newer models that fixed some issues of the original design. I also replaced the clutch cable with the barnett clutch cable as well as a full oil flush incase of metal particles. I'm still running into issues with the clutch not disengaging. I saw some heating on a couple of the steel plates in the clutch and I'm trying to figure out if it's time for new clutch plates or if there could be another issue. There isn't any notching on the clutch basket it still looks brand new. If I have to swap plates I'm looking to replace all of the plates with the Barnett upgraded plates. Anyone have any insight into this issue or the barnett upgraded plates?

Does the Barnett clutch kit require you to leave out the anti judder spring ring?
Like are all their fibers the same internal diameter.
Notice the OEM fibers, the innermost one has a larger internal diameter to allow space for the spring ring.

Judder spring stays in with barnett

Just read it again now I'm woken up a bit. Looks like not used Barrett clutch fibers yet, just their cable.

Have you got photos of the old and new parts, and the work as you went?
Quite a few things spring to mind that could cause this.

As far as I am aware I would reinstall the anti judder spring. The Barnett kit just replaced the clutch plates and pressure plate springs

I don't pretend to be an expert on the clutch assembly having never taken mine apart but I'll raise some simple questions.
1. Did you have any freeplay in the clutch cable to lever before the lifter shaft/piece failure? (Trying to determine what caused the lifter shaft/piece weld job) No freeplay can result in the initial problem.
2. Do you have any freeplay in the clutch cable linkage to the clutch lever now. If not, even after adjusting the linkage, you need to find out why.
3. Is it possible that the clutch plates (fiiber and/or steel) are too thick or not assembled correctly (thinking of the judder spring binding things up)?
4. Were the proper clutch linkage parts used (lifter piece, lifter shaft, bearings, washers, etc).
5. Was the clutch lifter arm installed in the right location on the clutch lifter shaft. Sometimes the "dot" isn't readily visible.

Just a few things to think about???
