The trip meter on my 08 R3 is not easy to reset to zero, sometimes the reset button will not switch to trip meter 2 or total klms reading.

Anyone else had this problem?,Fixes,cost?

O is the odometer reading stored in the gauge in its own memory ,or is it stored in the computer?
Just curious ,because if I had to buy another how would you get the proper mileage displayed,if its possible?

Apart from that I would just like to say the chrome reset knob on the side of the gauge is a horrid little thing for big fingers wearing gloves to get a grip on.

I had to add a larger/longer wheel/stem to mine due to the fairing on my bike. I have noticed that if I turn the knob all the way to the stop and hold monentarily, it changes from trip to trip to odo. I have to turn it only about half way to the stop, and hold monentarily, to reset either trip, I've had two Rockets and they were both this way. Hope this helps.

Sounds to me like your modifications are placing strain on or pinching the wiring loom. Is the loom free to move without any pinching or pulling?

Modifications? I only have a few factory accessories. The problem feels like its in the reset switch/knob,no other problems with speedo or tacho.

Thats the problem,it used to work this way ,but now it only works sometimes and I have to keep fiddling with it till it works

I have trouble getting a hold of my horrid little thing with gloves on too !
