Wobble at 75mph +

You do need to lift the bike to get the weight off the front end, but you do not need to remove the forks. You do need to remove the top triple clamp, which of course requires you to remove the handlebars and anything else attached to it. If you're being careful, it's a good couple of hour job..

Once you get the top triple clamp off, there will be two nuts that a 1.5" wrench will fit. The bottom one is the head stock bearing retaining nut, the top one is a lock nut to keep the bottom one from coming loose. Mine were spinning freely when I had to check mine! Usually, if you're this far, it's a good time to pull the whole front end off and clean and re-grease the head stock bearings..

You want to snug the head stock bearing retaining nut so that the front end does not flop back and forth on it's own. You want it just snug enough that it will move easily, but not flop on it's own. Once you have the nut to the right tightness, tighten the lock nut on top of it.. be sure you don't also tighten the bottom nut more.

Don't know how bad your head shake is.. Could be fine until you get home. It might cup your front tire too.. Any motorcycle shop of any brand should be able to help also.. Triumph is no different in this department than any other motorcycle..

I am 99% sure its the fairing that is causing lift on the front end. I road the bike the day before I put the fairing on and it never wobbled at 75+... I added some preload to the rears setting to 3 it was at 2, I had been reading it wrong once I took the bags I could tell right away it was 2 and now the bike is a totally different animal.. In a good way. I am going to move to 4 and I think I am good till I get home. I had no problems to 80.. Once in a while I would a little wobble in high winds but that can be expected with the fairing and an 10" shield on it...
