Greeting from central Florida, old battery took a dive and replaced with new. Bike will crank powerfully but it wont start. No smell of gas combustion or exhaust. All fuses are ok and shop manual not helpful. I have am 2006 classic. Any and all comment are welcomed. Looks like weather will cooperate for the Daytona Bikefest. See you there. With or without my honey.

Hi ,if you just changed the battery and done nothing else.I would check all fuses first then the relays. When you first turn the key do you hear the fuel pump spin up .you say it turns over so the kill switch and clutch switch, stand switch are all ok. so it may be a fuse, fuel or spark problem .it may also be the crank sensor under the engine at the rear .it can get metal attached to it which requires a clean. this sensor tells the ecu when to fire the correct plugs.

If it ran before the Battery was replaced maybe just a wire at the battery terminal missed connection ?

Just a thought..

Thanks for the input but I forgot to mention that I also had a power commander 3 attached. After careful elimination, I removed the power commander and low and behold, it started. Now I have a fault light that is on. I don't know if its because I removed the pc3 or I have a new problem- or- the light need to be cleared. Again all comment and suggestion are welcomed.

Yo Scott: I took my honey for a short spin like you suggested and it cleared the fault light just like said. This is one of the reasons I love coming to this site for advice. The whole community is here to help. Many thanks. Now to reconnect the PC3.

Under no circumstances send anything the scot in exile.
