Did you order new bolts for them screens too :sneaky: ive got an eye on you over there buddy
Yes plus the outer seal for the water pump,New ring kits for the pistons, New cam chain, Well you get the idea. Have you already pulled the motor? If so you are way ahead of me. Really like your posting and pics.

I sure Looking forward to seeing you on the Widowmaker this spring. The difference between our R3Ts from the casual glance isn’t much. Then you turn your right wrist, just a little....

Are you still running the 200 series tire on the back?

i am going to a 200 again, metzler cruisetec 200/60/R16 and a metzler cruisetec 130/90/B16, gonna give that a go. You and Jamie cmon out to leakey tx in April its gonna be a good time. If not im pretty sure ill be up in Michigan riding and hope to catch up with youll.

Are you going to the metzler’s for a reason? Your choice kind of surprises me. My experience with Metz isn’t very positive.
Both of my R3T’s had Metz on them when they were new. I never got 6,000 miles on either one. Switching the 08 to a 200 series reduced the choices. Not many manufacturers have them. After some research, I rolled the dice and put a Bridgestone Excedra Max on. True, I only put 1200 miles on the original Metzler rear tire, but with your new rear shocks it was clear the Metz couldn’t handle my weight and the torque of my Rocket. Putting the Excedra on, gives me a much nicer ride, both on high speeds and lots better on corners. Just a thought. You have more experience with the Widowmaker’s abilities. I’m way behind on the speed curve!

The exedra max is awesome and i do like that tire, the metzler cruisetec radial bias combo has me interested for handling, a 130 is hard to find and the weight rating on that 130 bias is higher than stock so for handling im gonna try, mileage i never consider as o try to rip them off on most rides. The cruisetec line of tires is all new and designed and engineered for performance baggers, will it top cobra chrome 180 or 200 rear, #1 rear tire used to date or will it top a exedra max front #1 the king of fronts ( tested in the best twisties chasing some real heathens) the 130 (which ive never tried because of weight ratings) has one heck of construction evidently as ive never found a 130 front with that kinda weight rating, speed is H so mindful of higher speeds is needed. The pirelli night dragon i ran this past summer is good for handling and tread wear held up, im just not completely happy with it as the large deep treads make it a little bouncy kind of like a big tire on a truck kinda thing. Its balanced but those deep treads are too much for my liking but it handles great in the mountains.

engine out, head off and being packed up, plates and fibers look ok but theres some marks that are new, the hub has taken a beating from the steels, so far ok nothing major wrong and its a great day.
