I'm looking forward to a 3 - 3 1/2 day trip down to Crater Lake, OR and return up the Oregon Coast. My son will be joining me on his Tiger 800XC. A little father/son time. I wish my younger son could join us but his Street Triple kills his butt after about 100 miles. Besides, he's currently out on tour with his band being a rockstar and will be working his butt off at his job when he gets back lol.
Well, I made a decision. Going to head down through the coal fields, circling southern and western West Virginia, and way lay in Barboursville. Next day head down the Kanawha river on Route 60. I am not yet sure if my nephew can come but I would want him to see this part of the world and the shape it's in since coal business has been decimated. Of course there's the fact I have not run that route by motorcycle yet and it will be super duper!
