While backing my bike down the ramp from the pickup truck, this "doodad" got caught. It didnt break or anything but the next day I noticed a few drops of oil on the garage floor. My question is... What is this? What's the function and is it safe to try to tighten or replace? It sits to the rear of the bottom of the engine. I will post a pic and maybe even a video to assist with identification. Thanks in advance.

That looks like the crank angle sensor to me. If it is, you can remove that single bolt and pull the sensor and clean the oil off it, replace the rubber O.-ring and that should slow the drips.
Thank you. I looked that name up and it looks to be correct. For anyone else that sees this and has the same question...

O Ring, Crankshaft Sensor
