What Happens if....

doug...where can I buy the proper cable?...I saw Tex put up a UK site....Is that the same company that did not show up in your posted link that went to a black hole.
I got my cable at Amazon. On my screen, it shows the picture of the cable I posted - what you see on Amazon. Just go into Amazon and type in Triumph Rocket TuneECU cable. This works fine for me. The Lonelec cable is from the UK. it's supposed to be good quality. Their web page has some good instructions

LonElec - Fault Code Readers and Diagnostic ECU Systems - TuneECU Lead

although I have a writeup, edited by Tom Hamburg, on the TuneECU site for installing the drivers.

I take it you've gotten TuneECU to hook up to the ECU? I'm using version 2.5.5.1 on a laptop. You will be in Map Edit (upper right bar). When the download is completed, the ECU goes through its startup routine, where you hear the fuel pump and the gauge needles move. When this is done, turn off the ignition, turn it back on. Under the ECU tab next to Display, hit "reset adaptation". Wait about a minute then turn it off. It wouldn't hurt to do the 12 minute tune but this just adapts the idle. It will adapt anyway after you ride it for a while.

Hook it up to a fully charged battery or a Battery Tender when reading or downloading tunes.

Gotcha! Thanks Doug
the tune ecu looks different on the android version, but I think I can get there. Will update you when I do

Greg, I have not removed anything from air system.
I got the Lonelec cable because I read some threads on here that some people had problems with the Amazon one + the Lonelec came with a "free" adapter cable for the Samsung tablet with android. It did not take long to get it ordering it direct from their website - really good quality

So I have a Kindle Fire. Does the TuneECU Android app run on that? Do you need to mess with drivers for the cable?
