What Happens if....

Oh, c'mon, Steve! You know exactly what the flock is up.;)

The 130 Ex Max up front provides unparalleled quickness and maximum responsiveness when it comes to optimum handling from off the shelf tires for our Rockets, especially when paired with the matching B'stone 240 on the rear.

NOTE: If you ride an ABS-equipped Roadster, the resulting geometry of the 130/240 combination is dangerous. Firstly, it will defeat the ABS sensors causing the ABS to fail (not work) and secondly the smaller tire in front will lower the bike sufficiently to cause certain bits (front pegs?) not only to drag, but potentially to hook onto ground or road irregularities when leaned, potentially leading to a catastrophic, unintentional dismount. DO NOT USE A 130 SERIES TIRE IF YOUR R3 IS EQUIPPED WITH ABS BRAKES!!!

To my knowledge, nobody has tried the Bridgestone Exedra Max 130/75 17 on an R3T, but I'd suspect that the compromised ABS condition would apply to it as well, hence the warning stated above should be heeded.

Duly noted!

Back to HILLARITY-Ted Cruz just ran this ad on SNL 10 minutes ago....I thought it a skit!

If you are using the triple filters, or RamAir, or similar attached directly to the throttlebodies, then the snorkel part attached to the bottom of the seat will have no effect on airflow at all. However, I believe that it adds to the structural integrity of the seat, reducing flexing. Unless you have a particular reason to remove it, I would suggest that you leave it on.
You know, I've had the Ramair filter on for a year now, and just the other day decided to remove the Y-shaped under-seat air channels. I found it actually made the stock seat much more comfortable, with my butt feeling more evenly cradled by the seat with much reduced shear forces on the rear of my butt. Would definitely recommend giving it a try before shelling out for a new seat. Just gotta remove something like 16 screws, very simple.

There is definitely more flex in the seat after it has been removed. Whether that is a good or bad thing is, I guess, subjective.

Probably great short term...structurally not good long term...and how does that affect two up?
Doesn't feel like it's flexing beyond any limits. Seems fine to me. Worse that can happen is my seat goes bad and I have to buy a new one, which I wanted to do anyway.
Doesn't affect two up, as the stock pillion seat is a separate piece.

In the immortal words of Ed McMahon..."I did not know that"....Mine is a one piece with a spring loaded riders back rest....And the seat is one piece with a gay bar behind it.

Greg, that sounds like Triumph's Classic Longhaul Touring Saddle w/ Rider Backrest - same as I have on my rig...
