What’s the last thing you bought for your rocket…

Today I brought an Air over Hydraulic lift table. It's being delivered, so hope to see it by the end of the week.

On another R111/3 forum I’m on, I got a “You don’t want to do that!” comment.
A bloke asked about Foot boards on a Classic, so I explained that you can get genuine Triumph items, along with the foot controls. ie Heel/Toe gear change, larger foot brake pedal etc.
This bloke turns around telling me, you mustn’t fit ‘em, weak gear box components etc. as you’d overload the parts. So If that’s right why do companies fit them as standard ie Guzzi California, Yamaha Royal Star and of course Harley Davidson.
Any thoughts?

i love my floor boards. a couple of weeks ago i managed to drag the left side around a long corner
your classic should have floor boards. from triumph they would be pricy
they may or may not set lower than the standards.
i have a clamp and bolt so i can put my foot back even father so i can get some engine heat.
what does that have to do with weak gear components ??
one time i came off a trip and stood up on the floor board and my size 11 put it into second gear but the motor killed b4 it sent me through the gate lol

I’m of the same thought, why would companies fit them standard, if there was any chance of the box failing?
The guy who asked the initial question, came back and is looking for second hand items. He is from the States, so should have more luck than us Europeans.
Incidentally my Classic did come with boards and controls, just had to find some good quality used Kuryakyn foot boards for the passenger pegs.
